My hearts bleeds tonight

  • Jul. 14th, 2009 at 11:24 PM
depressed, sad
As many of you know I am a very family focused person and they mean the world to me. Well, my family has suffered a very traumatic loss today. My Aunt Susie passed away this morning.

First let me tell you what happened. Last night around 5pm her heart went into an arrhythmia. When the paramedics arrived they had to shock her 3 times to no avail. So they loaded her up in the ambulance, all while working on her, and rushed her to Providence hospital. When they got to the hospital they had to shock her again and continue to work on her. They finally got her heartbeat back, but the damage had already been done. The basically said the next 24-48 hours would tell. They gave her meds to keep her comfortable and a DNR was signed so no heroics would be performed.

Now skip ahead to this morning. I got up and went to work knowing that there was nothing I could do for her. As soon as I parked the car I got a call from my mom to get to the hospital, because they were pulling her off the machines. We were all with her while she peacefully passed on.

My heart says that the right thing was done. Mainly because she has been sick with heart problems for the last 12 1/2 years. My heart is hurting so bad. Susie was one of my favorite aunts. She was actually more than an aunt, she was like a surrogate mom to me. I admired and looked up to her. I cannot believe that she is gone. I honestly cannot handle this right now. I so want her here now!!! I don't want to let her go. I NEED HER HERE!!!!!!!! I will miss her advice, her wisdom, her jokes, her smile, and her laugh.

I am also worried for her grandkids, for they are the reason that she kept living. They are taking this better than I ever thought they would. Of course the wake and funeral has not happened, so we will see how that goes.

Thank you, in advance, to all my friends.
angry

Ok, please don't misunderstand this rant I am about to do. I have no problem with a woman seeing a fertility doctor to have a baby. I, myself, am going to a fertility specialist and so are a couple of my friends. What I am upset about is the fact that Nadya Suleman is a single, UNEMPLOYED woman who is living on GOVERNMENT ASSISTANCE!!!! I do not agree that a single unemployed woman should see a fertility specialist. She already had 6 kids that she can't take care of on her own, why did she need 8 more?? I hope that child services investigates her to make sure that the children are taken care of, properly.

Now this woman is asking for donations to help take care of the children. WTF?!?!?!? Website

Article from AOL...

Anyways, this woman just infuriates me to no end.

There's news at the Notasulga Post Office, and it's not even a shooting. Sammy, the Notasulga PO's unofficial resident cat has been banned from the building. Apparently an angry customer called in a complaint, citing the fact that Sammy doesn't pay taxes as grounds for barring him from federal grounds. An outraged group of Notasulgans (including, we're happy to say, at least one of our readers) has taken swift and decisive action to rectify the situation. They bought Sammy the Cat his very own P.O. Box.

If you want to send the cat a letter you can mail it to:

Doctor Visit

Well, I went for my visit with my new fertility specialist, Dr. Maqueira. He wasn't very warm on the first visit, but I was only there to get my yearly exam and to get some bloodwork done. He wants to check my levels to see where we stand. I have to go back to see him on January 5th. More than likely he will put me on clomid, metaformin.

Also, I got a new job working with Knology!! They are the other local cable company here in town. I am so excited!!!

Christmas is next week, I am so excited about spending it with my family. I haven't spent a Christmas with my family in 8 years.

I did it!

I setup an appointment with a local fertility specialist here in Panama City! My appointment is December 11th at 2pm. I am so excited. I want to get the ball rolling on this. We have tried to do everything naturally ever since the miscarriage, but no luck. Wish us luck!

Go to Wikipedia and pull up Billboard's Hot 100 list (or the UK Singles Chart if you're from across the pond). List the number one song the week of your birthday for each year. Explain any impression or connection you may have with the song. And if you feel the urge, link to YouTube.

depressed, sad
I can't believe that America has elected their first black president. It actually didn't matter to me what color the person was, I just don't vote Democrat. I am a Republican with some not so conservative views on some issues. I am really worried about what will happen over the next 4-8 years. Things didn't go so well the last time we had a Democrat as president. I don't think that either candidate was a great choice. Neither of them will be able to get the economy the way it was. The economy, like the climate goes through cycles.

Anyways, this is how I feel about it.

I guess we will wait and see what this will bring in the years to come...

just another day...

Well, yesterday was my birthday and it was just another day. Actually, it was riddled with sadness and I didn't feel much like celebrating. My father-in-law and sister-in-law bought me a birthday cake and sang happy birthday to me.

Zelma's death has hit me really hard. Harder than I thought it would.

On a happy note: Taylor Marie, Kenneth's daughter is here with us. My sister met Kenneth's mom and grandmother in Defuniak Springs and we met my sister half way from there and picked her up. It's really nice to see her. She is growing up so fast.

I just wanted to let everyone know that Kenneth's stepmom, Zelma, passed away today. She had surgery the other day to stop some bleeding. She lost a lot of blood and her kidneys shut down. They tried to do dialysis, but it didn't work. They pulled her off the respirator today. We were all with her while she passed on.

The next day we had to Jacksonville, FL because Zelma, Kenneth's stepmom, is not doing well. She got sick and is in intensive care. She is in a drug induced coma. Kenneth's dad and sister has a meeting with the doctors today. They are hoping to ween her off the drugs and get her out of the coma. The doctors stopped giving her the meds the other day and she was responsive, but she started messing with her breathing tube so they started the drugs again. Right now its a waiting game. I will update later today or tomorrow.

UPDATE: After much ass chewing by my sister-in-law (go Amanda!!!), the doctors started reducing the amount of meds they were giving her. She opened her eyes and was answering yes or no questions by shaking or nodding her head. She knew who people were. Now they have to start weening her off the breathing machine. I will keep everyone updated on her progress.

Kenneth and I went to this on Saturday October 11th. We had a great time. With everything going on with Zelma, Kenneth's stepmom, this is the first chance I have been able to post about the festival. We ate, drank wine, and watch Blue's Traveler that night. They put on a fantastic show! John Popper sang "The Devil Went Down to Georgia" and did it perfectly! They are coming out with a new CD and will be getting it. Anyways, we had a great time.

True Blood

Has anyone else been watching this on HBO? Ken, my sister and I have not missed an episode yet.

This is the synopsis form the HBO website:
"Thanks to a Japanese scientist's invention of synthetic blood, vampires have progressed from legendary monsters to fellow citizens overnight. And while humans have been safely removed from the menu, many remain apprehensive about these creatures "coming out of the coffin." Religious leaders and government officials around the world have chosen their sides, but in the small Louisiana town of Bon Temps, the jury is still out.

Local waitress Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin), however, knows how it feels to be an outcast. "Cursed" with the ability to listen in on people's thoughts, she's also open-minded about the integration of vampires — particularly when it comes to Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer), a handsome 173-year-old living up the road. But as Sookie is drawn into a series of mysteries surrounding Bill's arrival in Bon Temps, that tolerance will be put to the test.

A sexy, scary new drama from 'Six Feet Under' creator Alan Ball, 'True Blood' delves into the meticulously-crafted world of novelist Charlaine Harris. Described by the Emmy®-winning Ball as "popcorn for smart people" and featuring a colorful cast of local misfits, 'True Blood' promises an intense ride."

This show is interesting to watch. I would definitely think it would be worth a DL.
